Huron County safely enjoyed the first long weekend of the season
The County is grateful to our seasonal residents for practicing safe travel recommendations and following public health guidelines when moving between communities. Huron County continues to urge all residents to practice physical distancing and proper hygiene protocols outlined by the Provincial Medical Officer of Health.
Provincial Announcement Allows Select Businesses to Re-open
The May 14th Provincial announcement to enter stage one of the three-stage reopening plan allows select businesses to reopen with some restrictions as of Tuesday, May 19th. The County of Huron encourages businesses to only open if they are ready and have proper safety measures in place.
Although Physically Closed, the Huron County Library is Virtually Open for Business
The Huron County Library is still virtually open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, offering a wide array of services and resources to help keep residents of all ages both informed and entertained during this difficult time.

County of Huron Provides Financial Support Related to COVID-19 Response
Huron County is receiving $708,100 from the Province of Ontario’s $200 million Social Services Relief Fund in response to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis. County of Huron Social Services is working on a multifaceted approach to distribute funds and ensure that vulnerable members of the Huron County community are able to receive the support they need to remain safe and healthy.
