March Break at the Museum

Enjoy fun activities all week long this March Break at the Huron County Museum!
Drop in for these self-guided crafts and activities available Monday-Friday, 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m.:
- Origami Bookmark: Fold and decorate origami bookmarks. Pre-made ones are made for younger kids.
- Photo Scavenger Hunt: Follow our prompts and use your camera to take the best photos you can. Send your photos to museum@huroncounty.ca for a chance to win a prize!
- Name Train: Make your very own train with your name.
- Pick your Favourite: Draw your favourite museum object and create a legend about it.
- Scavenger Hunt: Each day there will be a new scavenger hunt to complete around the Museum.
- Board Games: Try your hand at a host of different board games.
- Huron Headlines: Draw a picture based off a silly newspaper headline.

Monday, March 11:
- 10:30 a.m. – St. Patrick’s Day Craft: Rainbows, shamrocks, and leprechauns! Come make a fun St. Patrick’s Day craft.
- 10:30 a.m. – Movie screening: DC League of Super Pets
- 2:30 p.m. – Family Fun Trivia: Put on your thinking caps and bring the whole family to the Museum for a fun-filled hour of kid-friendly trivia.
Tuesday, March 12:
- 10:30 a.m. – Upcycled Bird Feeder Making: We have a lot of birds to see in our collection. Make a bird feeder out of upcycled materials. Your bird friends back home will thank you!
- 2-4 p.m. – Bean Bag Golf Course: Drop by the lounge for a bean bag mini-golf course! Are you up for the challenge?
- 2:30 p.m. – Movie screening: Ron’s Gone Wrong
Wednesday, March 13:
- 10:30 a.m. – Space Lander Challenge: Do you have what it takes to build a space lander? It’s time to put on your engineering hat and give it a try to complete at mission!
- 2:30 p.m. – Movie screening: Sonic the Hedgehog 2
- 2:30 p.m. – String Art: Explore the Neill Gallery and learn about folk art. Then, pick a template and hammer nails into a wooden board and wrap string around the nails to make a beautiful piece of art. Recommended for ages 10+. Thursday, March 14:

Friday, March 15:
- Day Camp: Gotta Be Green! Join us as we explore the colour green. Get ready for some shamrocks, rainbows, and leprechauns. We’ll have fun learning about St. Patrick’s Day and all of its games, songs, and symbols. Then, we’ll explore what it means to be ‘green’ and the importance of being environmentally friendly.
