Maitland Trail El Camino Hike

Registration is now open for Maitland Trail Association’s annual El Camino hike event, scheduled for September 16-17, 2023. Participants are invited to hike the entire 52km Maitland Trail from Auburn to Goderich over two days. Single day lengths and shorter distance options are available.
The cost to register is $30 for adults and $10 for youth, which includes shuttles, trail maps, checkpoints, and more!
The hike begins in Auburn and follows the scenic, winding route of the Maitland River, finishing in beautiful Goderich, on the shores of Lake Huron. Hikers on the Maitland Trail traverse wide rambling trails and challenging hills, hiking through towering forests, past farmland, river vistas and meadows. Shuttles are provided to the starting point each day, and along the route there are checkpoints where refreshments are provided to hikers by enthusiastic volunteers.
