Blyth Festival Art Gallery: Poetry in the Gallery – Nancy Pottage
June 28 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
FreeJoin us for an evening of poetry in the gallery starting at 7 pm featuring the work of Nancy Pottage.
Nancy Pottage is an unpublished poet who has told stories as an actor, dancer, choreographer, writer, clown and teacher. Her poems telescope time and place, layering lives, multiple voices, memory, the care of small children, geography and the resonance, beauty and ridiculousness of ordinary things. She holds a BFA in Theatre from York University and is a graduate of Queen’s University’s Artist in Community Education BEd. She grew up, and continues to teach in the small, rural farm community of Elmvale. She has enjoyed the good fortune of staying connected to Huron Country through friendship and family over the years.
