He has spent the past 30 years as a full-time painter, adept at working with oils, acrylics, watercolours, drawings, linocuts and mixed media.

Linda Taleski

Main Street Gallery

Linda started working in textiles as a matter of convenience because it is easy to work at home without special equipment. The intimacy of using her hands as tools and the slow repetitive nature of the process has always been very meditative and relaxing. In an age of mass production, she has found it is more important than ever to keep craft-based traditions alive.

Linda’s work tends to be a response to nature, art and life’s experiences. The use of colour and pattern stems from the inspiration she finds living in Bayfield.
