Temporary Full-time Student Planner to Join the Team!
“The term of the contract will be 35 hours per week from January to April 2025.”
Summary:
The Student Planner will work with the Planning Staff and will be involved in assisting with the review of Official Plans, preparation of Zoning By-law updates, research for development applications, document consolidation, preparation of notices, research and community development projects at the Municipal and County levels.

Role and Responsibilities:
- The Student Planner will be responsible for assisting Planners with research, analysis, problem solving, policy evaluation and development, report writing, mapping, and preparation of display materials for tribunals and hearings;
Qualifications:
- The student will be enrolled in a college or university planning, geography, environmental studies, or related program;
- Comfortable working outdoors, occasionally in challenging conditions;
- Must have access to reliable transportation to travel for work-related duties.
Wage:
- Non-union range depending on education level from $17.72 (College/Undergraduate level) to $21.92 (Master’s level) per hour.
Location:
- The office is located at 57 Napier Street, Goderich Ontario.
- A hybrid work model is available.
